I gave this restaurant a chance because Florio's is a remnant of Little Italy in historic New York City. While the atmosphere was charming; locatedon Hollywood's Boardwalk, I found that the food was unfortunately nowhere near Nona's cooking. Rather, very disappointing.

BAD EXPERIENCE!! Long story short we found hair in my friend's soda then on a garlic roll. We brought this to the server's attention both times and her attitude was not nice about it! We asked to pay for our drinks and rolls because we no longer wanted the pizza and she was even more rude. Not knowing we speak Spanish we heard the version she was telling her co workers and manger which was putting the blame on us. She actually said how do you find hair twice!! As if we were lying!! Explain to us how we find hair a second time? After we brought it to your attention the first time! Both of us had our hair slicked back in buns. The manager did come out to speak to us and apologized for the situation. I told him I write multiple reviews but wouldn't write one because he handled the issue correctly but since he said I can write about well here it is!! The manager did offer us a return visit and didn't charge us for the rolls and soda but we told him because of that server we won't return. The garlic rolls were DELICIOUS tho! I'm not a complainer. I write multiple reviews weekly but this was unacceptable.

The baked clams were delicious. I had chicken parmigiana & it was probably the best I’ve had in years. Our waiter was very nice. Great location right on the boardwalk. Reasonably priced also.

1-15-26 and 1-18-26: We had a 5 star server with good food and a 2 star server who didn't care so we averaged the review to 3 stars. The first time, we had the Lasagna and Stromboli and both were fine, but the server made the experience fun so we enjoyed the meal. We tried the spaghetti the second night and it seemed overpriced for what we got, probably because the server wasn't attentive and we were crammed between other tables. AUTOMATIC 18% GRATUITY! And that's easily overlooked, cuz we saw the father and son next to us add $8 to a $40 bill for basically a pizza and 2 beverages. So the lazy waiter got 18% + 20% - quite the racket!

I’m putting 5 stars only because I don’t want this to get buried. Please do NOT eat here. It is gross. The food is over priced and over all poor quality. From the ketchup to the drinks. We ordered a pizza it tasted like nothing. It had pineapple ham and feta. Couldn’t taste the sweetness or the saltiness at all. Tasted like cardboard. Just BLAND. Felt like I gifted away 100 dollars. It was so bad I didn’t even want to give it to a homeless man lol absolutely gross. You can tell they’re very price conscious and use cheap ingredients. We also ordered other appetizers oh and the server gave us one napkin lol honestly we should’ve known from the moment the appetizers came the one napkin and the acidic cheap taste of their ketchup. Good Luck to who ever eats here. I really wish I could get my money back.
